SCHOOL PERFORMANCES
Studio K Flamenco can bring a performance to your school! Our presentations are an exciting, bilingual learning experience that include performance, musical understanding and student participation. Performances include live music and are adapted to different educational levels from kindergarten through high school. Artistic director Kerensa DeMars has been presenting youth programs for two decades. Her inclusive, energetic style captivates young people while giving them a unique learning experience.
Compás - A Multidisciplinary Education Program
Studio K Flamenco offers a multidisciplinary Flamenco program for schools. Flamenco is more than music and dance - it is a multifaceted art from that combines rhythm, music, dance, theater and poetry. The Compás Youth Program uses Flamenco as a vehicle for bilingual learning about the art of Flamenco as well as themes of multiculturalism and diversity. Led by Kerensa DeMars, the program offers students the opportunity to study with professional flamenco artists - guitarists, dancers, percussionists, composers and singers.
