Studio K Flamenco is Milwaukee’s home for the flamenco arts. We create, we educate, we share the beauty and power of Flamenco with the community in Milwaukee and beyond.
Committed to preserving the cultural integrity of Flamenco, we present professional flamenco performances, host visiting artists from Spain and provide educational opportunities for all ages. Led by dancer and choreographer Kerensa DeMars, Studio K is about building community, educating and inspiring others.
From bilingual learning programs in schools to the annual Flamenco Nutcracker and the FlamencoMKE performance series - Studio K Flamenco is becoming a vital part of Milwaukee’s rich cultural landscape.
Artistic Director Kerensa DeMars is a Wisconsin native who trained intensively in Spain. She has performed internationally at prestigious venues including the Tivoli Theater in Barcelona, Madrid’s Calderón Theater, the Royal Festival Hall in London and the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. Kerensa toured with major flamenco companies in the US and is the founding director of the San Francisco Flamenco Dance Company. Prior to relocating to Milwaukee Kerensa served as Artistic Director of the Flamenco Room, San Francisco’s longest running weekly flamenco show, for fifteen years. Kerensa has many years of experience teaching flamenco for all ages and skill levels. She is excited to share the art of flamenco with the Milwaukee community!
