WINTER/SPRING SESSION BEGINS JANUARY 6TH

STUDENT SHOWCASE MAY 2026

ADULT CLASSES

TUESDAYS at ZAOMKE 2319 E Kenwood Blvd.

6:00-7:00pm Multilevel Technique and Choreography (Jan 6 - Feb 10): This class drills all the basic technique used in Flamenco dance from rhythmic hand clapping to footwork, posture and alignment, arm and hand work, turns and musical understanding. Suitable for beginners who have completed Flamenco Foundations and for advanced students who want to hone their basic technique. We will be mounting a choreography in the Tientos/Tangos styles.

7:00-8:00pm Intermediate/Advanced Technique and Choreography (Jan 6 - Feb 10): This class works on more advanced combinations and footwork drills building on foundational technique to explore intermediate combinations with emphasis on musicality, body control and ‘aire’. We will be mounting a choreography in the Bamberas style.

THURSDAYS at Bembé Drum & Dance 611 S Layton Blvd.

6:30-7:30pm ¡FIESTA FLAMENCA! (Jan 15 - Feb 19) This multilevel class focuses on all the ‘party styles’ in flamenco: rumbas, bulerías, tangos and sevillanas. Be prepared to have fun!!!

Each session runs for 6 weeks. Prices are $110 per session or save 10% by signing up for more than one class! If you’re a new student please fill out the registration form so we know how to contact you.

Winter Flamenco Workshops (Six Week session)


Next youth Session begins january 15

Youth classes are held on Thursdays at Bembé Drum & Dance from 5:30 - 6:15 for ages 5-11. No prior dance experience necessary. This class will guide young dancers in the fundamentals of flamenco dance in a fun and supportive atmosphere.

Session 1 Jan 15 - Feb 26

Session 2 Mar 5 - Apr 23 (no class April 2)

Youth Classes Thursdays 5:30 - 6:15

YOUTH CLASS LOCATION: Bembé Drum & Dance 611 S Layton Blvd in Milwaukee. Please enter through the studio door at the end of the driveway (not the main door). Plenty of street parking is available or park across the street in the Mitchel Park Domes parking lot.

Class Policies

  • Payments are valid only for the session they are purchased for. If space is available you may transfer from one class to the other.

  • All sales are final.

  • Video recording of class material is allowed.

  • Class scholarships available for full time students and the unemployed. Contact us for more information.

Attire

Flamenco shoes or low heeled dance shoes recommended. If you have questions about footwear please contact us!

Please wear comfortable clothing that allows for freedom of movement. Long skirts are optional but so fun! If you need tips on where to buy shoes or skirts please check out our RESOURCES page.
